Nfl Week 8 Betting Lines, Picks & Tips

At Canada Sports Betting, we managed to come up with three pretty solid contests to ride the moneyline on. With Jon Gruden out of Las Vegas, the Raiders defeated the Denver Broncos on the road. The Eagles are already three games behind the Dallas Cowboys, as the NFC East race looks all but over. The Eagles are 4-2 to the Under, while the Raiders are 3-3 on totals this year. Here are the opening picks for every game on this week’s slate.

On his worst day, or should we say the offensive line’s worst day, Mariota can melt into a pool of goo. Last week it was Tyrell Williams’ turn to informative post join in on the action, catching for 118-yards and a pair of touchdowns himself. This team can burn you in more ways than one, and it doesn’t help when quarterback Philip Rivers continues to find new wide receivers from the woodwork to throw to. Figures, it’s the middle of October, and right on cue, the Chargers are the second-last team in the league anyone wants to face. Fortunately, the Cardinals have allowed the second-most rushing yards-per-game this season, second to only… you guessed it, the Broncos. Still, defending the run has been a challenge, as seen in Todd Gurley’s career high 200+ rushing extravaganza last week.

Jacksonville and Las Vegas were the only two on Sunday, and neither carried a big price. The Titans were a decent win, but it’s tough to have three wins make up for losing 11 units on the favorites that did win. After Week 6, we now have had the strategy of taking a flat one-unit bet on every underdog returning a profit in three weeks and a loss in three others. The bloodbath this week now turned this strategy negative on the year, as the losing weeks have been bigger than the winning ones. New England has covered the spread in 4 of their last 5 and I like them to do it again versus the Falcons on Thursday night.

Sunday Football

Russell Wilson is having an MVP caliber season thus far and has carried the high powered offense to a top 5 ranking currently. Elliott did not play against Atlanta and will miss the Cowboys’ next five games as he serves his league-mandated suspension for violating the league’s personal conduct policy. Without Elliott against the Falcons, the Dallas running game managed just 107 yards.

The Texans currently stand in first place in the AFC South, and a half game up on the Tennessee Titans. Brock Osweiller has been inconsistent for much of the year and isn’t living up to the $18 million contract that he signed just this last offseason with the Texans. Despite the less than mediocre play at quarterback, the Texans are still in first place and have a strong defense in place. The Cowboys are 10-1 on the year, and have won 10 games in a row after losing their first to open the season.

They combined for three sacks and eight quarterback hits, which is more than enough evidence they can put up similar numbers against the beat-up Eagles O-line on a quick turnaround. Approaching the halfway point of the season, we have already reached the point where it feels like it’s a battle of survival for some teams. Not only are teams dealing with players entering and exiting the COVID-19 list, but the injuries are also piling up.

Patriots Vs Falcons Predictions: Thursday Night Football Picks And Betting Offers

Wide receiver Adam Thielen has emerged into one of the NFL’s premier pass catchers. Thielen has 83 receptions for 1,191 yards and is currently fourth in the league in receiving yards. With the Packers’ playoff hopes extinguished, Green Bay head coach Mike McCarthy now has a decision to make. Play two-time MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers or sit him and save him for the 2018 season? Sitting Rodgers might send the wrong message, but playing him risks another injury.

This ability to have everything frantically snap into place at once does make Philadelphia an exciting play on the spread. They’ve been an underdog every week, winning outright twice and covering a third game. Week 7 of the NFL season features a half dozen teams on their bye week. First, we spotlight the Thursday night game between the Denver Broncos and Cleveland Browns. Also, New England entertains the New York Jets while the New York Giants are home to the Carolina Panthers. The Texans’ only hope of keeping this game close is running the ball against a Cardinals defense that has allowed 5.1 yards per carry to RBs.
